Patrick’s Parabox is a mind-bending puzzle game that’s essentially the Inception of sokoban games, with cleverly crafted puzzles about boxes within boxes within boxes…
In each level of Patrick’s Parabox the goal is simple – line up the boxes and yourself so that they’re all within the specified areas. However, how you go about this is very different from your traditional box-sliding puzzler. As well as pushing the boxes around, you can also shrink down and enter some of them (and enter boxes within them, etc.), which comes in handy in some very inventive ways as you try to manoeuvre the blocks around.
The current demo build takes around 20 minutes to play through and it’s a finely crafted piece of block based puzzling. The concept of being able to enter and exit blocks is very clever and the game does a great job of teaching you how it works as you play. Each new block of puzzles shows you something new and when you reach the infinite block-within a block stages it’s downright mind-blowing. Highly recommended.
