Perdition is a fun little fast paced first person shooter where you blast your way through a low poly woodland as you attempt to eliminate an alien threat.
Created by students of the DigiPen Institute of Technology, Perdition is a simple, stylish and fast paced first person shooter adventure where you take on the role of a lone hero who must activate three satellite relays to help eliminate an alien invasion. You’re vastly outnumbered and the enemies will often ambush you, but you do have some useful tricks up your sleeve. You can dash, double-jump and use a special overcharge ability which increases your firepower for a short time.
The guns in Perdition are all fun to fire and all have unique secondary fire modes. There are plenty to pick up in the game, but there’s no ammo, so when one gun’s empty you just throw it at an enemy and pick up another. Slain enemies also drop armor, which you can use to bolster your health for future battles.
Taking around 30 minutes to play through, it’s a fun little game with a nice selection of firepower, fast paced gameplay, a great visual style and nice use of environmental storytelling. It can start to get a little monotonous, but it doesn’t out-stay its welcome and the final scene is particularly impressive.
