Pizza Kidd is a beautifully animated 2D Anime styled pixel art beat ‘em up where a young martial artist becomes humanity’s last hope against hordes of monsters.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer a couple of years ago, Pizza Kidd is a fast paced old school beat ‘em up with combos, parrying, air-juggling, super moves and tons of style. It takes place in a world on the brink of destruction, as a nefarious mastermind called Santos unleashes an army of monsters, clones and zombified scarecrow ninjas.
At the moment the enemies are a little on the tanky side, but aside from that it’s a lot of fun. The controls are responsive, the monster designs are created, and the animation and soundtrack are fantastic. A great bit of retro arcade action.
