Rain Shadow is a surreal point and click horror adventure where a fisherman travels to a mysterious land with a hope of seeing his lost son again.
Drawing inspiration from Disco Elysium, the Rusty Lake games and the works of David Lynch, Rain Shadow is a point and click adventure that follows the story of a grieving father who wants to see his son again. There is a myth that if you find the Moon Fish then it will grant your wish. One day he finds the fish and is taken to a mysterious land of goddesses, surreal visions and a shopkeeper with enormous “assets”.
The Rain Shadow demo is a vertical slice of the game and although it can be a little confusing at times (and the text size is pretty small), it’s a fascinating game. The pixel art animation is superb, the characters are interesting, it’s very well written and there’s a wonderfully weird puzzle. A surreal trip into a fascinating land that you’ll be dying to discover more of.
Note: To start the game you need to hold the left mouse button on the button in the bottom right of the screen.
