RE:RUN is a speedrunning sword-swinging parkour action platformer where you rewind back to the starting point everytime you pick up a power-up.
Created for the Brackeys Jam 2020 by Dani (creator of Karlson and Milkman Karlson), RE:RUN maintains the chaotic energy of the Karlson games, but has a focus on sword-based combat and a fun rewind mechanism that teleports you back to the start point each time you pick up a power-up. Your aim is to make it to the end of each level as fast as possible, but most of the time you’ll also have to kill certain enemies and collect certain power-ups (Sword, Rewind and Double-Jump) to do so. This makes each level a fast paced little puzzle as you try to figure out how (and the fastest way) to make your way through it.
Featuring 11 short levels, it doesn’t take long to play through RE:RUN, but it’s very entertaining. There’s a nice flow to the action, the low poly enemies make great sword-fodder and figuring out the best routes through each level is a lot of fun. Well worth checking out for a slice of sword-swinging parkour action.
