The Scavengers Beta is now accessible to everyone, but you may have to watch someone else playing it for a little while first before you get your hands on it!
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer during the closed Beta sign up, Scavengers is a PvPvE tactical multiplayer sandbox surrival shooter where squads of three compete against eachother in a hostile frozen environment. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic Earth that’s frozen over and filled with mutants. Players compete to complete missions for an AI called Mother in hopes of finding a cure for the mutagenic virus.
There’s a roster of unique characters who you can equip with different abilities and weapons. You’ll have to work together as a team as you deal with other players, environmental hazards and hordes of mutants.
The Scavengers Beta is being rolled out via the Twitch Drops system. This essentially means you need to watch a streamer playing Scavengers for 30 minutes to get your key to drop. There’s a list of Twitch Drop enabled streams here and you’ll also have to authorize your Twitch account to be eligible. Please note that if you were in any of the previous Beta tests then you don’t need another key, you can just download the game and play.
