Sinfeld: Evil Resident is an absurd Seinfeld inspired comedy horror game where a comedian is trapped in the worst day of his life.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer when it was called Sinfeld Remastered: Deceased and Assist, Sinfeld: Evil Resident is a surreal and silly parody horror game inspired by Jerry Seinfeld’s classic sitcom. In the full game you’ll follow the story of a young orphan called Donathan, who stumbles across Gary Sinfeld’s cursed New York Apartment. The Demo acts as a prologue and puts you in the shoes of Gary on the day in 1994 when he and his friends all mysteriously vanished.
To say Sinfeld: Evil Resident is weird is a bit of an understatement. The majority of it takes place in Gary’s apartment (which looks uncannily like Seinfeld’s), which is packed full of secrets and easter eggs to discover. Chief of these are various VHS tapes that you find which have some very well made comedy skits, animations and music videos on them. You’ll also explore, meet strange characters, solve basic puzzles and find a bunch of gold to give to a neighbor who’s blackmailing you.
It can be a little confusing but it’s very entertaining and has some remarkably high production values for a Seinfeld parody horror game. The voice acting and cutscenes are excellent, the environmental design is very well done and it’s packed full of great little details. Highly recommended.
