Sonic.EXE: The Assault is a very freaky first person horror inspired by the Sonic.exe Creepypasta story, that sees you playing a father who goes searching for his son in an abandoned house in the woods.
Sonic.exe is a twisted version of Sonic the Hedgehog, with black and red eyes and a penchant for murder. Sonic.EXE: The Assault sees you being pursued by Sonic.exe as you make your way through some creepy woods and into an abandoned house looking for your son who’s gone wandering off while you were camping.
It has a few rough edges, but Sonic.EXE: The Assault has a great sense of tension and some genuinely terrifying jump scares. You have a flashlight that you need to keep topped up with fresh batteries and you have to solve a couple of simple puzzles, but on the whole it’s a fairly linear experience that’s designed to scare the crap out of you… which it really succeeds in doing! A super sinister Sonic adventure well worth checking out.
