SOS is a mysterious new multiplayer survival horror game from Outpost games (a new studio formed by many of the lead developers of Dead Space 1 & 2), that’s set inside a Hunger Games-esqe reality show that sees contestants fighting for survival on a deadly island with only 30 minutes to escape.
SOS is the debut game from Outpost games, formed by Dead Space 1 & 2 devs and backed with around $19 million in venture capital. There’s no video footage available yet, but it’s a multiplayer survival horror game set in an authoritarian past where players fight for survival in a fictional reality show. Sixteen contestants enter the island and have thirty minutes to escape, with only three players able to escape alive. It focuses on ad-hoc team building, with players forging alliances (or lulling gullible players into a false sense of security) via a voice chat system that showcases players personalities.
It’s an intriguing game, with a fun premise and a dev team with an excellent track record. Testing will be starting on March 2nd, so sign up now to be one of the first to set foot on the island!
