SOS is now entering closed Beta, with players able to sign up now to join in its unique take on the Battle Royale survival shooter genre, with players forging uneasy alliances as they attempt to steal a relic and make it of a monster-filled island alive.
First featured on Alpha Beta Gamer back in February during the closed Alpha sign up, SOS is a survival shooter that sees 16 contestants dropped off on a remote island, where they then have to scavenge for equipment, retrieve a relic and make it off the island on one of the 3 only seats on the chopper. As the island is crawling with monsters and other competitors, your best chance of survival is working together with other players. You use your own voice to talk to players and earn their trust – allowing you to work together towards a common goal (or stab them in the back and steal their stuff).
It’s a great concept, that makes a player’s personality and communication abilities as big an asset as a gun. You can never really let your guard down either – much like in The Walking Dead, there are monsters but it’s often the humans that are the biggest danger. A monster will always try and kill you, a human will only kill you when the time is right!
