SpiderHeck is a very cool physics-based fighting game where lightsaber-weilding spiders fight each other or AI enemies in a variety of perilous arenas.
Playable in PvP with up to four players or PvE single-player/co-op, SpiderHeck is a physics-based spider battle simulator where highly agile arachnids attempt to dispatch their enemies using a badass laser-swords (lightsabers). You move your spider with the left stick and swirl your lightsaber with the right stick, with you also able to thrust, throw and recall it. Being a spider you can also climb along any surface and you can shoot webbing and latch onto structures.
The current build of SpiderHeck is very early in development but it’s already a hell of a lot of fun. It features a PvP mode and a PvE mode where you fight swarms of wasps in different arenas. The spiders are delightfully agile, the web-slinging works well and the way the lightsabers swirl through the air is a joy. The way the swords react when they hit each other makes for some pretty intense battles and it’s particularly enjoyable when you manage to land a killing blow. Highly recommended.
