Supernova is a free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game by BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America and Primal Game Studio and is set release on PC in 2016.
Set in a war-torn future, Supernova combines classic MOBA action with some real-time strategy elements to provide you with finely-tuned control over your battle strategy. Managing your build order, technologies, and upgrades will be key to emerging victorious. Supernova prides itself on its huge variety of playable Commanders — including mech-suited humans, renegade guns-for-hire, and battle-hardened alien warriors — and the multitude of diverse gameplay styles they present.
For this second round of Closed Beta testing, they’ve introduced yet another new Commander, Itarri, who slots nicely into the offensive roles of Sniper and/or Ranger. With the help of her beloved robot cat Kuro, Itarri can cast all of her abilities while continuously moving, making her incredibly agile on the battlefield. Intriguingly, she’s the first mount-riding member of the Supernova squad and the first fully human Commander appearing without a mech-suit. If the developers stay true to form, she will be available to trial play for the first week of release after which her character will likely need to be purchased.
Supernova‘s second Closed Beta Test is now live and ends on November 30th, 2015 at 12:00 PM PST (8:00 PM UTC).
