Survival Games is a Battle Royale first person survival shooter with Minecraft-styled visuals, in which players scavenge weapons and equipment and fight to be the last one standing in its vast randomized voxel based world.
Survival Games is obviously inspired by PUBG, but it does plan to shake up the gameplay a bit with some nice features and three different game modes – Battle Royale, Zombie Survival and Arena Shooter. It’s only the Battle Royale mode that’s available at the moment, which sees up to 64 people hang gliding into the map and fighting to the death.
The maps blends procedural generation and intelligent map design to make the points of interest change each time you play. It also features stamina and hunger mechanics, a nice selection of perks and player customization. There’s a nice variety of weaponry and equipment on offer too – ranging from traditional sniper rifles, shotguns and pistols to more outlandish stuff like jetpacks, spears and water balloons. Clothing items you collect will also give you little buffs such as reduced damage from attacks.
It’s still early in development, but Survival Games certainly has potential to rise above the incoming wave of PUBG clones. The Minecraft-style visuals add a lot of charm and the current (and still to be implemented) gameplay additions make for a unique survival shooter experience. A blocky battle for survival well worth checking out.
Note: The initial hangar area you spawn into is just a holding area as in PUBG. Once the timer reaches zero then the game starts properly, with you hang gliding down to the island.
