Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets is Game Boy Advance styled action RPG adventure set in a world where animals are disappearing.
A spiritual successor to Save Me Mr Tako, Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets takes place centuries after a war between humans and magical octopuses. The octopuses have now been erased from history and wild animals have started disappearing. Shadow voids have started appearing across the land and the Temple of the Order has started to rise.
In Tako no Himitsu: Ocean of Secrets you will play as six different characters, each with their own abilities and individual stories where they set out to make a positive change in the world. On their adventures they’ll befriend and train the magical octopuses, solve puzzles, explore the world, chat to lots of NPCs and battle shadow monsters in tactical real-time combat.
There are two playable characters in the demo and a large chunk of gameplay. The GBA inspired pixel art visuals are fantastic, the combat has a nice amount of strategy to it and the world feels very immersive, with plenty to discover within it. A vibrant and engaging action RPG adventure that could easily become a classic.
