Beta sign ups have reopened for Terror of Hemasaurus, the fantastic new smash ‘em up that plays like Rampage on steroids.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer last year, Terror of Hemasaurus is a carnage-filled love-letter to the classic Rampage games, which sees giant Kaiju smashing up helpless cities. Playable with up to four players, in the game you take control of a Kaiju who has been awoken from their icy clumber by a cult of global warming activists. They want you to go on a rampage and cause as much death and destruction as possible, with their theory being that the more humans you kill, buildings you smash and vehicles you destroy, the better it will be for the planet in the long run.
What this means for you is that you get sent on missions with different criteria to fulfil, all of which includes causing as much chaos and destruction as possible – which is a hell of a lot of fun. The gameplay is very much like the classic Rampage games, but the characters are a lot more mobile, there’s far more on-screen destruction and the buildings have physics (so you can make them spectacularly topple into each other). It’s an absolute blast and definitely worth checking out for a bit of old school smash ‘em up fun!
