The Library of Babel is a beautiful hand drawn 2D stealth platforming adventure set in a world 20,000 years after the extinction of humanity.
Based on the Jorge Luis Borges short story of the same name, The Library of Babel takes place in a distant future where humanity is dead and the world is run by robots. The robotic civilization knows little now of their mythical creators, but they have managed to create an advanced and orderly society. However, one day they discover The Library of Babel, a library that contains everything that ever was and ever will be written – something that could easily cause their society to devolve into chaos.
In The Library of Babel you step into the shoes of a Seeker who has been sent to investigate a murder in Babylon. Your case leads you to unearth a dark conspiracy behind the Library’s recent lockdown, and it will lead you through abandoned temples and vast jungles in search of answers.
The gameplay in The Library of Babel is focused on stealth and platforming rather than violence. And when you’re not sneaking around in the shadows there’s also the promise of plenty of NPC’s to talk to as you uncover more about your case.
