The Notzing Project is a narrative driven first person Sci-Fi horror game with a time-travelling TV monster that you physically can’t look away from.
You start The Notzing Project alone in a room in a mysterious underground facility. Something has clearly gone wrong – the power is out, the facility is abandoned and there are TVs playing static everywhere. You piece together what happened by listening to audiologs as you explore the facility and attempt to restore the power so you can escape. However, you’re not alone down there and it seems that the scientists have been meddling with things best left alone…
Taking around 20 minutes ot play through, The Notzing Project is essentially one long build up to a monster escaping climax. That’s not a bad thing, but it would be good if there was a little more horror during the build up as it can start to feel a little too sedate. It’s an interesting story though and when the monster appears it’s genuinely scary (and the fact that you can’t look away from it is a nice touch). A creepy little adventure where too much TV really is bad for you!
