Think of the Children is a frantic parenting simulator that will test your parenting skills to the limits as you attempt to keep your bundles of joy happy and alive.
Kids aren’t the most hazard-aware beings on the planet – they’ll happily eat poisoned berries, jump in the pool, touch deadly jellyfish, play with rabid dogs and wander around getting into all sorts of other trouble. Playable in singleplayer or with up to four people in local or online co-op, Think of the Children puts you in control of a doting parent who must try and keep their children safe from all these hazards – but you must also try to keep them happy by carrying out tasks, such as managing the BBQ, buying groceries or icing a birthday cake.
Throughout the course of Think of the Children you’ll embark on a variety of family events, such as enjoying a birthday party at the park, a camping trip, a day at the beach, a trip to the zoo or a visit to the Australian outback – each of which has their own unique tasks to fulfil and deadly hazards to keep your children away from. You’ll really need to multitask as you attempt to keep your children alive and happy, working towards getting a good parenting grade and hopefully avoiding jail time for your ineptitude!
It’s a fun looking game, that offers a delightfully chaotic and tongue-in-cheek take on the ‘joys’ of parenting. The Beta starts on the 18th of September and those that get in will be sent 4 keys – one for you and three for your friends so they can join in the parenting mayhem. So sign up for the Beta now if you think you can handle taking care of a few kids – it can’t be that hard….can it?
