Tribes of Midgard, the Norse themed co-operative survival game, is currently holding a final Open Beta event, with players able to jump in right now and joining the fight against the Frost Giants.
Previously featured on Alpha Beta Gamer back in July, Tribes of Midgard is a multiplayer co-op survival game where you work together to fend off an invasion of Frost Giants during Ragnarok. You need to defeat the giants and stop them from destroying the Seed of Yggdrasil which is harbored in your village. It’s playable with up to 10 players and sees you fighting smaller enemies and searching for useful resources in procedurally generated lands during the day, then crafting upgrades and defense that can help protect your village from attacks during the night.
It’s an impressive game that offers a unique, large scale multiplayer take on the survival genre and allows for some pretty epic battles against the Giants. The open Beta will be live until Sunday December 15th at 11:59pm ET, so jump in now and see it you can help save your village!
