You must now do some errands for the mayor to pay back your debt and perhaps afterwards you can see what you can do to bring the corrupt vegetable government to its knees.
The demo build of Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion features around 15 minutes of gameplay and sees you attempting to clear out a barn full of unruly animals for the Mayor. The gameplay and combat is similar to A Link to the Past, but set in a colorful land full of talking vegetables. There are lots of quirky characters to talk to and it’s packed full of great gags and clever little details – such as the way you can grow swords and bombs by watering the relevant plants.
He may have committed tax evasion, but it’s a lot of fun hanging about with Turnip Boy in his delightfully silly vegetable world. It delivers a classic top-down RPG experience infused with a great sense of humor and fantastic pixel art animation. Highly recommended.
