Virtual Army is a fast paced modern first person shooter currently in development by a team of Ex Pro gamers, built from the ground up to bring competitive multiplayer combat (and selfies) to Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
Virtual Army will offer modern military first person combat across a variety of urban maps (currently dubbed Police Station, Alley, Haze, Railway and District) with terrorists facing off against the army. The few pictures released of the maps look pretty impressive and (judging by the bullet counter UI attached to the gun) the tiny bit of video in the trailer appears to be created from in-game footage, so it certainly looks the part.
There’s not much more information available about Virtual Army at the moment, but it does have one feature that we’d love to see implemented in all VR games from now on – you’ll actually be able to take virtual selfies of yourself in-game, which has tons of possibilities for teabagging and humiliating the corpses of your fallen opponents! It’s a promising game, and as long as they have a way to conquer the nausea induced by on-foot movement in first person shooters then it could be a blast.
