Vroom Kaboom is an intriguing new game that looks set to combine elements of Mad Max-esque vehicular combat, physics-based carnage, collectible card gaming, MOBAs and tower defense as you build a deck of vehicles and deploy them in battle against other players.
In Vroom Kaboom players build a deck of cards that feature over 70 different vehicles then strategically use the cards to deploy vehicles in the battlefield of 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 matches. The vehicles then roll out, causing lots of real-time carnage on the battlefield, smashing the opponent’s vehicles and destroying their defenses – with an aim of blowing up their oil tanks.
There’s a wide selection of vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorbikes, tanks, helicopters, rockets and planes – each of which have their own unique stats and attributes that will prove handy in the battlefield. There are three different factions to choose from, each of which have unique cards to collect, theme music and environments to do battle in. It’s also VR compatible, with you looking over the battlefield watching the carnage play out as if a bunch of matchbox cars have come to life and started smashing each other to pieces.
Vroom Kaboom’s eclectic mash-up of genres does seem strange, but it also sounds like it could be a hell of a lot of fun. The best thing about vehicular warfare games is watching the vehicles get smashed to pieces and in Vroom Kaboom you’ll be able to orchestrate this symphony of vehicle smashing carnage on a grand scale.
