Where Safety Ends is a surreal existential horror adventure about confronting your fears or retreating to a memoryless safety.
In Where Safety Ends you awaken in a small room with no memory of who you are or how you go there. The room is called SAFETY and inside it are three other people who you don’t know. They’ve been in the room for varying amounts of time and each of them help you learn a little more about the room and what awaits you outside. You’ll ultimately have to decide whether to leave the safety of the room or not, with a stern warning that all that awaits outside is sorrow and that you can never come back.
The current build of Where Safety Ends takes around 15 minutes to play through and really impresses with its striking art style and intriguing setting. It poses some interesting philosophical questions as you balance up the choice of retreating to the safety (and non-blissful ignorance) of the room, or venturing out into the world and reliving your most painful memories. It’s a great concept and it’ll be interesting to see what exactly awaits the protagonist outside that door in the future.
