Yedoma Globula is a fascinating first person sandbox game where you explore mind-meltingly massive procedural fractals in first person.
In Yedoma Globula you are given a handful of useful tools and a flying boat, then you set forth into the uncharted territory of a gigantic fractal-based landscape. The sheer size of the world is staggering and it’s full of beautiful sights – the majority of which only you will ever see.
There are no objectives in the current build. You can attempt to reach certain radio markers if you like, but it’s much more fun just to pick a heading and see where it takes you. You have a flashlight, a flare-gun, a climbing axe, a radio direction finder, a jetpack, a hole blaster and an assortment of other useful tools to help you explore the world. If you don’t fancy going on foot then you can also jump in your flying boat and soar through the air.
Even in its current early form it’s a fascinating experience exploring the massive fractal-based world of Yedoma Globula. It feels like you’re the first person to explore some strange alien landscape, the enormity of it is jaw-dropping and some of the vistas are truly breathtaking. A remarkable journey through a fantastic fractal world. Highly recommended.
